I like to sleep. In face i love sleeping, a lot. Anyone who knows me well knows this little fact. If i don't go to sleep on time, or get enough sleep, i can be quite a cranky girl.
In high school, i would go to bed between 10 and 10:30pm every night. If my family decided to hinder that, they would feel my wrath. ( I am also a very light sleeper, and must have almost complete silence to go to sleep. so that doesn't help )
Everyone said i would have to adjust my sleeping once i had a baby. They were wrong, at least for this first one. True the first 10 months or so were hard because Matthew had yet to learn to sleep through the night and he still occasionally wakes up and wants to cuddle. But my little guy loves sleep now as much as i do. Its marvelous.
Matthew goes to bed at about 730pm and sleeps in until 8 or 830am every morning. Bliss. : ) He then takes 2 naps every day, length varies. A couple months ago he took 3 nice naps a day, that was even better but of course he was littler. Last week i tried to put him on a one nap a day schedule because people said he was old enough to do that. Not old enough for Matthew, he wouldn't have it and was so beyond whinny. So we switched back to 2 naps and life is great once again!
It makes me happy to know that i have at least passed on one great trait to my little one! : )
The picture of Matthew looking so angry below is when i had to wake him up from his nap because we needed to be somewhere, as you can see, he does not like that at all. The pictures of his cousin Ellis are from when i babysat him last month and he curled up on the floor with his graham cracker and went to sleep.
I love sleeping babies.

Sleep is my friend! I felt pretty overwhelmed the first night with Shasta home and thinking about how I won't be getting much sleep anymore. She eats every three hours. But I took care of the feedings during the night and then once Nick was up he took care of her so I could nap for a while. It worked out pretty nice!
Hopefully your next baby will be a good sleeper for you and Matty will nap while she's napping. Yes, I said SHE! I overheard Matthew telling his girlfriend that he wants a baby sister!
PS. Everyone LOVES the blanket you made Shasta! I took it to the hospital a few times and it's currently what she lays on when I set her on the floor. It's just too cute not to be out all the time where I can see it!
