Transitions

The past month has been a month of transitions over at the Petersen household. Both Elizabeth and Matthew got new beds and their rooms are both being re-done a little bit.

        Lizzy is handling the transition to her room and new crib like a champ. As a matter of fact, she is sleeping better then ever. Her room is super cold and i think that she loves it. She takes great naps during the day and only wakes up once at night to eat and then goes straight back to sleep. Lizzy now puts herself to sleep, which is amazing. I swaddle her, put her binkie in her mouth, give her kisses and then leave. She then flips herself over and goes to sleep. i love it!!! : )

      Matthew on the other hand.......he is killing me. : ( Seriously, my little sleeper man is no longer the champ he once was. We switched him to a toddler bed because he learned how to jump out of his crib, so there was no real point in keeping him in his crib. ( it was a sad day ) So now, he takes terrible naps and doesn't sleep at night. He is usually up every night between 2am and 4 am. And then he is whiny all day. We had to turn the lock on his door around, and even that doesn't really help. He just gets up and screams and pounds on the door. I'm trying a new technique with him tonight, so hopefully it works.

     Lizzy has also transitioned to formula. Yay! ha ha. Breast feeding is great and wonderful but its not my favorite thing, at all. I tried to make it to six months, which is when i stopped with Matthew, but with the heat and my hormones and other things, it just got to be too much. Plus Lizzy would scream at me a lot when i would try to feed her sometimes and sometimes she would only latch if i stood up rocked back and forth. Just too much...... So formula it is! : )  She has tried rice cereal and applesauce, but only about 4 times. I need to start doing it consistently since she is almost 6 months old and ill have to feed her real food everyday.

    I am in a major mood to redecorate my house, so if anybody has any good ideas or inexpensive places to go, let me know!

Blast from the Disney Past

So i really really want to go to Disneyland. Like if i lived in California, I would have been there yesterday, and today and probably tmrw too. : ) Since i was in dire need of Disneyness, I looked up some old pictures, i couldnt find some visits which was disappointing but ill keep looking. :)

My Sweet Pumpkin Pie

I have a whole bunch of pictures on my phone of Lizzy, but i have a ghetto flip phone so it's hard for me to get pictures off of my phone. So i spent the last couple minutes texting the pictures to Nicholas's phone and am now getting them off for all of you to enjoy! 

Lizzy at church in the cutest dress ever. Seriously i love it. I actually had my mother buy this dress when i was pregnant with Matty and didn't know what i was having yet. I totally forgot about it until she gave it to me after i found out I was having Lizzy. Its pale green by the way, you cant really tell in the picture. And the middle is the most gorgeous smocking. 

What a cutie in a mouse outfit! Those shoes have little mice heads on them. Love it.

Think Think Think

Tidbits i have been thinking about today:

1. The heat makes me really irritable. Like a lot. It makes me in a super bad mood and it makes me not feel good at all, adding to my super bad mood. It doesn't help that our house doesn't seem to be insulated very well.

2. Matthew can now climb out of his crib. Funny to watch, not so funny when he wakes you up in the morning by coming in and turning on the light, or interrupting  your Sunday nap.

3. My contacts have been really lame the past couple of days. I can't see most of the time. They also seem to get dry really early in the day and then they are super annoying to have in.

4. Lizzy only has three diapers left. I hate buying diapers but i guess its on my list of things to do tmrw. It makes me think about going to cloth diapers but then i think about having to wash cloth diapers and i don't want to go to cloth diapers anymore.

5. I need a maid. Seriously, my kitchen floor is so sticky, thanks to Matthew playing with the juice container.

6. My pampered chef thing isn't going so well. : (

7. I need to learn how to stick to a schedule. I used to be able to do a schedule very well, but since having kids that has kinda gone to the way side. Which is funny because that is when people usually get one. I am very good with a nap and bed schedule and things like that, but as far as my life goes, its out the window.

8. Matthew is currently in his room playing with toys when he is suppose to be in bed. Apparently he climbed out of his crib again. I would go put him back in, but im too lazy for that right now.

9. I need more friends. If you want to be my friend, i will gladly accept. I feel like i don't really have anybody to hang out with. That is partly my fault as i am not very out going and prefer to keep to myself but it does get rather lonely.

10. Sara Hendricks, you need to move to Arizona ASAP. : ) Or we can just move somewhere together, neither arizona or utah. How does Colorado sound?

11. I need a house decorator. Anybody up for the job?

Someday, I'm gonna be this skinny again. I'm just sayin.
