Some People make Gingerbread houses.....

We make trains, and well other things that you can dream up. Every year the Walkers get together and make Christmas trains out of Lorna Donne shortbread cookies and lots of candy and oreos. We have been doing it ever since i can remember. When we were little we used to give them away to someone of our choice. So we would make them and then deliver them. We don't give them away anymore and not everybody makes a train but it still fun. This year Tim made a football stadium, Micheal made a drug cartel train, and Matthew made a pile of candy. Its always fun to see what people will come up with. I always make a basic train, i like tradition. If you want to see last years trains, including the Arizona Temple, a bat mobile, a transformer and dead gingerbread man follow this link http://anpetersenfamily.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas-week-tuesday.html

Matthew being himself....

Here is a little video of life with Matthew. He is in a onesie because i knew i would barely be able to get him in it ( its a 24 month ) and wanted to one last time so i could still count him as a baby. : )

Christmas Decorations

Here are just a few pictures of the decorations around our house. We decorated the day after Thanksgiving, because who could wait any longer?  Matthew helped decorate the tree, and luckily he has left it alone since. He had a little scare breaking 2 ornaments at grandma's house, so he is pretty scared of touching it now. I also put some lights up outside but haven't gotten a picture of it yet. I love having the Christmas tree lights on all day, it makes it feel so christmasy!

The bear in the picture with Matthew reads the night before Christmas and its head moves while he reads, its cute, but Matthew wasn't so sure of it at first. After awhile though, he wouldn't stop turning it on.

Family Pictures 2011

We had some family pictures done at the end of November because we have never had any and i thought it might be nice to get some before Elizabeth gets here. Marilee Garbison, a lady in my ward, was nice enough to do them for free for us. What a deal! : ) I really like them and think that they make me look not so bad being pregnant. : ) Nick doesn't like himself so much in them, but i think they great. Plus Matthew's pictures are adorable.  ( oh and if anybody was wondering, yes i am obsessed with making collages, it makes putting pictures on the blog, a thousand times easier and faster )

Thanksgiving 2012

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my family. My brother Tim and sister in law Joni hosted at their house. Thanksgiving is by far one of my favorite holidays. How could you not like a day full of eating food?! And spending time with family. I was looking forward to this day for like a month and a half, and it did not disappoint. : ) All the food was yummy yummy yummy!!! : ) I made rolls and candied yams and cranberry sauce and pecan pie. Other things that were there were mashed potatoes, green bean casserole ( which i loved this year ) corn, jello salad, broccoli salad, green salad, gravy, sweet potato pie and more tons of pies.

After we ate all of that yummy ( i kept eating it ) The kids played outside and in the playroom, football was on the television and then we had our Thanksgiving soccer game. The kids also made turkeys out of oreos. They were adorable.  Matthew slept through most of the day, but he did have fun when he was awake. Him and Ellis esacped through a whole in the fence into the neighbors backyard because apparently their backyard had cooler looking toys. Nick and Courtney had to go over and get them. I turned around just as Matthew was going through the fence, and the only thing that went through my head was nothing so i could only say help, i need help. Because obviously i wasn't climbing a fence to get them back. ( the house they went over to is actually the house that my parents built and we lived in for forever, just in case someone like kimber recognizes it )  Matthew also had lots of fun playing with Grandpa in the backyard, kicking balls and swinging on the swings.

I think that it was over all a very successful Thanksgiving. ( writing this post makes me want all that food all over again, good thing i have a turkey in the freezer : ) )

I feel Huge

Today i have been doing freezer meals all day, which has left me very tired and with a very dirty house. It also left me feeling huge. I feel like Elizabeth has grown like ten pounds today. Ok, maybe not ten pounds but i know my stomach has grown. All i want to do is nothing. Which isn't very productive nor is it very realistic with a Matty walking around. Luckily i just put him down to bed and now i am going to do nothing, hopefully, i need to do nothing.

Anyway, here is a picture i just took of me today, at 28 weeks. I never remember being this huge at this time with Matthew. The third trimester so far has been ok. Its super hard to get comfortable and i have started dry heaving in the mornings again, so thats no fun but hopefully its not a new daily thing, again.

Hopefully soon i will get around to posting about Thanksgiving and our new family pictures. But not tonight, tonight i am off to eat fudge and do nothing else.

Bellys in pictures are larger then they appear.
