Both of our little big babies went to the doctor yesterday for a well check and shots. So here is their stats a little about how they did and how they are growing up.
Elizabeth- 4 months old
weight: 14 pounds 2 ounces ( 55 percentile )
length: 25.75 inches ( 95 percentile )
head: 41.5 cm ( 60 percentile )
weight for length: 10 percentile ( this basically means that she should weight more for how long she is )
The doctor said that she looks great and that he stats on moving along with her curve well. She did well with her shots although she really didn't like the last one that she got, she quieted down quickly and was just like your a bunch of meanies.
Lizzy has found her voice and her laugh. She loves to smile, a lot and giggle when tickled. She has also started to just talk on her own without someone first making noises at her. Lizzy has also learned how to mostly roll. I say mostly because she can roll from both ways she just doesn't do it all the time or many times in a row. She does prefer to be on her side or sitting up now that she knows how to roll. She loves laughing at Matthew and seeing him right after her naps when he comes barging in to say hello.
Lizzy still needs to work on growing some hair. If she isn't in a super feminine outfit or have a bow on her head, she gets called a boy. I don't think she looks like a boy but i am her mother, so I'm biased. Anyway, back to the hair, we have no idea what color it is going to be, what little hair she has, has every color in it, so we'll have to see once it grows a little longer. She has blue eyes and I'm hoping that they stay blue.
I love having her around. Although sometimes it is hard having two, especially with them being only two years a part. I don't think i would change things. She is helping me learn a lot about myself and Matthew loves her. I love having a little girl that i can dress up in dresses and adorable clothes. She is over all a sweet, low key baby. She sleeps really well and when she is awake, she is usually happy unless something is bugging her. ( watch out when this girl gets too hungry, that's when she gets angry ) Her sleeping schedule has been the following for the past couple days : wake up 8am, eat, play, nap at 9am, wake up 1130am, eat play, nap at 1pm, wake up around 3pm eat play and then the rest of the afternoon is different almost everyday, bedtime at 9pm, sleep til 5am, eat and go back to sleep til 8am. I really need to get her on a more permanent schedule, but im gonna wait until she is in her own crib and room which isn't gonna happen until after our family reunion next week. So sometime in July ill work on it.
Matthew- 2 years,3 months
weight: 32lbs 6oz ( 80 percentile )
height: 38.5 in ( 100 percentile)
head: 49 cm ( 50 percentile )
weight for length: 35 percentile
Matthew did a wonderful job at the doctors, for the most part. There were the normal 2 year old moments but overall ok. He loved helping the nurse check up Elizabeth and he even tried to check on my ears. When he got his shot, he giggled a lot. The nurse talked to him the whole time and then real quick gave him the shot. Matthew watched her and then was just like what was that, then she put a spider man band aid on it, and he started giggling and laughing a ton. He thought it was so cool that he got a spider man band aid. I thought it was hilarious that he giggled so much, after getting a shot. Who does that? Silly boy.
He isn't always a silly boy, most of the time he is trying my patience in every single way possible. I think he lays awake at night thinking of new and crazy things that he can do the next day. Patience. I just have to pray for patience. Other then that Matthew is getting pretty good at talking. We try to expand his vocabulary everyday. But he doesn't always like trying new words. Sometimes he will just look at you like i don't know how to say that, so he won't try at all.
Matthew is excited about the toilet and he enjoys sitting on it and flush it but he isn't ready to totally do the potty training thing. He doesn't quite get when he needs to go. He can tell me before but i don't think he is quite ready. At least I'm not quite ready to go there. He did buy some Toy Story underwear yesterday but after he was home, he wasn't excited anymore, he wanted to hide them.
Some other tid bits about Matthew:
- He eats popcorn and strawberrys like they are going out of style.
- He is still attached to his binkie and a sippy cup full of milk
- when the fridge lock isnt on, he will bring you the sippy and a gallon of milk for you to fill up for him, its kinda funny except when he spills milk or juice everywhere, thats not so cool
- He loves his daddy and totally freaks every time that he leaves
- Toy story is the movie of the year
- He loves to swim
- His favorite books right now are when a dinasour gets a flu and the tiny Caterpillar
- He loves his sister and loves to give her kisses whenever he gets the chance

I can't believe she's already 4 months old. They grow so fast it's sad. Sometimes I wish the infant stage lasted 2 years instead of 1. I love the toddler stage, but when I look at infant pictures or watch her when she was a baby it makes me miss it SO much.
My two cents, I think she'll be a red head with curly hair! Just sayin!
Oh Matthew... you need to go easy on your mommy. Otherwise you'll be blessed with children just as energetic as you!
