Elizabeth Jeanne Petersen, was blessed on Sunday May 6, 2012 by her father. Most of my family and Nicholas's family was able to be there for it. For weeks before her blessing i looked for a blessing dress for her and could never find one that i really liked. So we decided that since she is named after me, she should just wear mine. She looked beautiful in it and it was cool that it was mine. 24 years old and it still looks good. : )
That night we had a combined dinner with all of our family, and all of the HoChing family because Elizabeth's cousin Adele HoChing was also blessed the same day. They are two weeks apart in age. So it was fun to get together with a whole bunch of people and celebrate their blessings.

My first thought was I'm surprised your mom doesn't make her grandkids blessing outfits, but then I remembered how many grandkids she has...! That's so cool that she wore the same dress as you. I would love to have that tradition, but I doubt my mom still has my dress. So far Nick's mom has made all the blessing dresses for her granddaughters (she doesn't have grandsons yet), but I haven't decided if I'll have all my girls wear the same dress or not.
