Update

It has been awhile since i have blogged and that is mainly because the computer makes me sick. I can handle it for about 5 or 10 minutes at a time, sometimes, and then it usually ends up making me throw up or wishing that i would. So i haven't been able to blog about this pregnancy as much as i originally wanted to. But i guess that things never turn out how you originally plan.

Right now i am 17 weeks and wishing i was 37. I have been feeling better and not so nausea and puking, but i have my days where all i want to do is nothing. I have a lot of aches and pains that i didn't have with Matthew either. I am assuming that is because i didn't have an 18 month old to chase around the first time around. Sleeping is not so much fun, i don't do a lot of it at night, so naps are essential. I toss and turn a lot because i cant find a comfortable position and then when i do, its usually on my right side, which is fine for now but eventually the baby will be too big and i will have to sleep on my left side. ( I even asked my dad last night if i could sleep on my right side forever, and he said no because there is some kinda vein or something that is only on the right side and the baby will squish it and cause flow problems to the baby, so no can do. ) The other problem with sleeping, is i have been having the weirdest dreams with the weirdest people in them. People i haven't talked to since high school. That, and they usually involve eating some kinda food the whole dream and i wake up craving it. Like last night it was star burst, i was eating star burst the whole dream and so of course i had to buy some today. The weirdest dream i have had was of my sister, who is also pregnant. But she got to let her baby out of the womb for feedings, attached to the umbilical cord and all and then just stuff the baby back in after it was done eating. Don't ask me how they stuff the baby back in like ten times a day, but they did and i spent the whole dream wondering how they did it and why couldn't i do it too.

One other thing, i haven't felt any kicks yet, but at around 14 weeks i started feeling the baby move at night. When i lay down to go to sleep sometimes i can feel the baby like roll over, which is a weird feeling. Its cool to feel the baby so early though. With Matthew i didn't feel anything until i was 22 weeks. So although i am bigger this time around, thanks to those already stretched out muscles, it does have its benefits. : )

Matthew is doing excellent. He continues to grow and gab a lot without saying much. He will look at you and he thinks he is having a conversation, when he reality he is not speaking English. We are continuing to work on it though and hopefully soon he will have more words. Right now he basically says Mommy and mama a lot. In the car he will switch back and forth from mommy to mama, like 50 times in a row. After about 15 minutes of that, its not so cute anymore. He started nursery 2 weeks ago and i think he really likes it. The first week, he gave another little boy a goose egg on his head, so that was embarrassing. The 2nd week he seemed to know more of what was going on. ( i certainly am enjoying having 2 hours to myself, although Matthew seems to know it and is making sacrament meeting ten times harder. )

Matthew all ready for his first day of Nursery!

I couldn't decided which picture looked less bad, so you get both bad pictures of me at 16 weeks.

Yay for an update!!! You're such a cute pregnant lady! :)

I can't believe Matthew is in Nursery. That's so fun. What did he do to give another kid a goose egg?!? That makes me laugh. I was in the primary/nursery for the last year before I had Shasta so I love hearing about it. (And then feeling so glad it's no longer me in there)! Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but I was pregnant for 7 months of it and miserably sick so it was hard for me.

I'm glad you're kind of feeling better. My doctor never told me not to sleep on my right side. It wasn't until my 32 week appointment that I asked him about it, but then I had a baby so it didn't matter. I slept with a pillow between my knees a lot. (Not that you're looking for advice since this is your second time around). Your dreams are too funny! I couldn't imagine feeding my baby and then stuffing her back in. Yikes! The only crazy dream I remember was that my baby would push completely up on my belly so i could see her entire shape and be able to hold her. It was weird!

Anyway. Glad to hear from you. Sorry my comment is so long!
