Latest Projects

So these are things that i have been working on the past couple of weeks, well two weeks really. Ha ha. i pushed these a little close, didnt make my mother so happy because she machine quilted the baby dress quilt. thanks Mom. : ) your the best. I made these for my friend Sara who is having a baby girl in June. The first one is a baby quilt, the second one is a rag quilt and then just a small baby comfy blanket that the baby can just hold and they love playing with the different textures on the ribbons. The rag quilt and the small blankie i did in a day and a half. The dress quilt took me a little longer, like 2 weeks. Although if i didnt have to have it done, it would have taken me longer and if i didnt have the help of my mother, the quilting queen. : ) When i finished my last quilt i said i would never do another one and i said the same thing after this one. I bet i will make another one. but i have learned more and more why my mother says that quilters almost never sell their quilts, they only ever give them away, they are too much work, to sell them would cost the person like 1000 dollars. Anyway, maybe next year ill sew another one. For now im gonna work on small little projects. : ) ( and thank you to nicholas for dealing with fabric everywhere! )

You are so talented! I am glad mom passed it on to someone. The quilt is adorable. ANd I expect a quilt for my baby. I will give you a month after it is born since you can't start it yet..gender issues!:)

I love, love, LOVE the quilts! You are so talented. I don't even want to use the dress quilt. It deserves to be hung on the wall. I feel so lucky to have such a talented friend that I can reap the benefits from! :) Have you tried your hand at any baby clothes yet? Just wondering how difficult it is.

Very cool , Amber!! Beautiful quilts. I didn't know you liked to sew. I'm so glad! It's so fun (especially when you finish a project you've worked really hard on for a long time). I've never made a rag quilt before. Maybe you can teach me sometime? :) Great job!! Love 'em.
