A New Postition

The past month Nicholas has been applying for new positions within Dish Network, coach and a QA person. A coach is over a group of customer services caller people and a QA person listens to calls and grades them on their quality assurance. Well it took about a month to hear back on any of these and during this time, Nick was going insane not knowing what was going on. Then about a week before he found out what happened with these interviews, they put up on the board an open position for an IT guy. An IT guy works on the computers and fixes any technical glitches throughout the day, as well as giving presentations to new hires about the IT at dish and so forth and so on.
Well he applied for the postion, and even though he said that the interview went great, he wasnt sure because he didnt have any proffesional IT experience or school IT experience. A week later he was offered the QA position, which is the one he originally wanted the most. But then the manager of the phoenix dish network office asked him what he would rather do QA or IT. He said IT because that has always been his dream, to work on computers all day. So the manager told him to decline the QA position becase cooperate was going to offer him the IT postion. They then ofcourse made him sweat it out for two weeks not knowing if it was a good idea to turn down the other offer that he wanted because he wasnt sure if he was really gonna get it.
But last week they offered it to him and he started the same day. He has never been happier with work. He loves it. He now is kind of his own boss at work because he answeres to cooperate people and not the people at the center. It came with a little pay raise which was nice. The best thing is that he loves working on the computers and fixing problems.he says that he wishes he could just stay at work all day. Which is kinda scary because Matthew and i don't get to see him as it is. He leaves for school at either 7 or 8 each morning and then after school goes to work so he doesn't get home until midnight on some nights and 830pm on other nights. Luckily he gets to spend Saturdays at home with us. It has only been the first week and Matthew misses his daddy. We are very happy for him however and couldn't be prouder!!!
