So i'm a little behind on posting, but that's ok i have been organizing my house instead. This year Matthew was a Jedi I figured that is what he should be because Star Wars in the only movie besides Despicable Me that he will watch. Which is kinda funny, what 20 month old sits and watches Star Wars? At our ward Trunk or treat, the Friday before Halloween, Nick dressed up as scary Anakin, when he goes all sico in number three. Matthew figured out after the first two cars that if you hold out your basket people will put candy in it, whats cooler then that? He still cant say trick or treat or anything else for that matter but we tried. Our car was next to the bishops car which was funny because after we went around to the other cars Matthew felt that it was his duty to keep going over to the Bishops wife and take candy from her cauldron then he would come back to our car and then take the candy back. Or he would pick up candy from the ground or her cauldron and put it in random kids bags. It was pretty funny to watch.
On Halloween I took Matthew trick or treating at Nick's work. He got to go around to all the different agents and they would put candy in his bucket. He was the only kid there at the time we went, so most of them just let he take as much candy as he wanted. Then one group of ladies made bags of candy with reusable dunkin donut bags. They were filled like a third of the way with candy. Suffice it to say we had way too much candy. I then took him to my mom's ward carnival. It was fun to just sit at the park and let him run around and hang out with his cousins. While he ran around, i ate. ha ha No big surprise there, although i did eat two hamburgers, i was starving. I can normally barely get one down, but not that night. After the carnival we were going to go trick or treating with my sister in law Joni and her kids but we didn't even make it to the first house before Matthew had a melt down. He was just so tired and worn out from the day. I didn't try to fight it, my back and feet were killing me as well and i just wanted to go to bed. So instead i stripped him down to his diaper and let him run around on the grass with his cousin Andrew being a tackling bag as we waited for my mom to come pick us up. Over all it was a fun Halloween but im hoping next year we get to actually go trick or treating.

ha, oh my gosh, i can't believe star wars actually catches his attention! how funny!
Maybe it's Matthew's hair that makes him seem so different in looks to me. Everytime I've seen him it's been shorter. His costume is cute. Did you make it? Sounds like he got a ton of candy! Or rather, you and Nick got a ton of candy on his behalf!
So I was just thinking... Shasta will be almost the exact same age as Matthew for her first real Halloween. (This one doesn't count since she was only 6 months and didn't go trick or treating). It's kinda weird to think that all of her firsts are almost exactly a year behind all of Matty's firsts.
Amber its Psyco not sico! or did you mean sick-o
Oh that was me, Amy the last one.
