Favorite

One of my favorite parts of the day is when Matthew wakes up after he has already gone to bed. He doesnt do this every night, but sometimes he does because he needs his diaper changed, he really doesnt like to be wet. and its easy because he doesnt usually need a bottle. I know that i shouldnt like this, and when it happens more then one time i night i dont.
But i like it because Matthew is so tired that after i change his diaper he will cuddle with me. Which is so nice because now that he is so big and "old" he wont cuddle with me unless he wakes up after going to bed. I just get to hold him and snuggle and pretend that he is a little baby again. When he is really a big 22 pounder that barely fits in my arms. He smells delicous from a bath and he just has that baby feeling. Nicholas always says i should just put him back to bed. But i cant help it, i would just hold him all night while he sleeps.
Tonight he woke up and let me hold him, but then he decided that he wasn't comfortable in my arms so he slip down to my lap, cuddled up on my lap and fell asleep. Ah! So adorable. He reminded me of when i used to lay on my mom's lap during chuch. It's little moments like this that keep me sane enough not to want another baby right now. I get all the little baby i want in just those 15 minutes, and then i can just enjoy my growing little boy during the day.

Isn't that the best??! Analee was a lot like Matthew- always on the go and never wanted to snuggle. Now that she's 8, she wants to snuggle all the time. Ashton (6) even came up to me this morning and cuddled on my lap for a couple minutes. He even kissed my arm! :) Those special moments definitely make all the rotten stuff us moms have to put up with worth it. I can't wait to see Matthew again and tickle him to pieces! :)
