Christmas Week- Wednesday and Thursday

On Wednesday, Teresa, her girls and i made candy. It was fun. We made english toffee, fudge and carmel. They carmel took over two overs to make and then it had to sit without being touched for 24 hours but it was delicous at the next day. The best carmel i have ever had ever. Our fudge didnt work the first time, but i blame it on my brother since he took over our fudge making process. :) The second recipe worked though. And Grandma Walker's English Toffee was the best i have ever made i think. It was fun to teach Teresa and the girls the different stages of candy so they could see when things were done.
On Thursday, they went ice skating. Everyone mostly did but matthew and i. He was tired from all the excitment of the week and needed a good nap. That night we went over to my moms for carriage rides and hot chocolate. My mom has a friend who ownes ponies and horses and has an old fashion carriage with fringe on top and gives rides during the christmas season. This is our second year doing them. Matthew enjoyed riding around in the carriage and looking at the christmas lights. It was his first time seeing all the lights and seeing horses. Unfortuantly i didnt get any pictures of that.
